This is the first full length album by the progressive metal band Burnt to Ashes. We have been working on these songs for years and produced everything on our own. The recording was done at the beginning of 2016. Everything was recorded and produced by Paskkal Produkktions, an independent recording studio owned by the drummer, Sacha. The physical copies of the album were crafted and printed by Specimen Workshop, a silk-screen print shop owned by the guitarist, David. There are three different physical editions of this album, the Silver, Gold and Azul editions. The Silver edition comes in a craft paper envelope and contains the four songs published on this website. The Gold edition comes in a black opaline envelope and contains the four songs published here, plus "-IV" as an instrumental version. The Azul edition comes in a black opaline envelope, includes a lyric book, and the cd contains the four songs published here, plus the same four songs in instrumental versions.

This is a concept album, which describes a journey of transcendence. Each song on the album represents a state of matter or element (fire, earth, water, wind) and at the same time represents a mind altering substance. The album was written in reverse order, from the end to the beginning and that is why "-IV" is named so.
